As a long-standing member of the Institute's management and in recent years also as a member of the Executive Committee, he has always supported and contributed to the Institute. In his former function as head of the Basel City Tax Administration, he was not only an important link between the training needs of the advisory services and the tax authorities. We also particularly appreciated his great interest and commitment in the further development of the Institute's activities. It was also helpful that we were always able to count on his professional connections and his large network in the tax law sector. Since his retirement, he has conscientiously taken care of the association's monetary matters as Head of Finance on the Executive Board.

We will miss Stephan Stauber as a friend and colleague. We will always remember his calm and level-headed manner.

Our thoughts are also with his partner, Susanne Hüppi, and his family, relatives and friends. We wish them much strength and confidence in this difficult time of saying goodbye.
